Affiliate disclosure
Vasari Corridor takes part in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. When you book a tour or ticket after following a link or widget on this site, GetYourGuide pays us a commission. You pay nothing extra for it, and it does not change which tours we recommend. That is the whole arrangement, stated plainly.
How it works, specifically
Every booking link and every availability widget on this site goes to GetYourGuide, a licensed online travel agency, carrying a partner code that identifies us. If you book within the window GetYourGuide sets, they pay us a percentage of what you spent. The price you are quoted at checkout is the same price you would be quoted arriving at GetYourGuide directly, with no surcharge and no markup, and we never see your payment details.
What it does not do
It does not decide what appears on this site or in what order. We have no contract with any tour operator, we are paid no fee for coverage, and no operator sees a page before it is published. Our small-group review leads on the fact that the guide does not walk the corridor with you, and our audio app review quotes a traveller saying the commentary points out more than there is time to see. Both of those are commission-earning pages. If the money were steering the writing, neither sentence would be there.
Why we do not publish prices or ratings
The same honesty argument, applied to numbers. Prices, star ratings, review counts and availability move constantly, and a stale figure on an affiliate page tends to move in the direction that suits the affiliate. So we do not type them at all. The live widget and the GetYourGuide activity page carry the current figures, and what it costs explains what actually drives them.
If you would rather not
You are welcome to search GetYourGuide directly, or to book with the Uffizi Galleries at uffizi.it, where the museum sells its own tickets. Nothing on this site depends on you using our links, and no page is hidden behind them. If you found the research useful and want to support it, using a link here costs you nothing and is the only way we are paid.
Questions about any of this go to the desk, and the wider picture of who we are is on about us.
Frequently asked questions
Does booking through your links cost me more?
No. You pay the same price GetYourGuide would charge you if you arrived on their site by yourself. The commission comes out of their side of the transaction, not out of yours.
Does the commission change which tours you recommend?
No, and we have deliberately made that checkable. The reviews on this site lead with each product’s weakness, including on the pages that earn us money. Read the reviews hub and judge for yourself.
Do you take payment from tour operators?
No. We have no agreements with operators, we accept no fee for coverage or placement, and no operator reviews a page before publication. The only money involved is GetYourGuide commission on completed bookings.
